Thank you for your interest in Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (WUTH).
Over the past two years we have set about improving our Trust through an approach from getting the basics right to becoming the best…basic, better, best.
One of the key cornerstones on that improvement journey was to reshape a new and exciting vision for the organisation and through consultation with over 2000 staff and patients agreed the Trust’s new values and behaviours which set the tone on ‘how we do things around here’.
As a strong leadership team, we have introduced a 12 month top leader’s programme for band 7 and above as well ensuring that there is leadership development at every level of the Trust. We were the first Trust to have a Transgender conference. In addition, over the past two years the organisation has ran a very successful nurse recruitment campaign.
Whilst we have our challenges, as most Trusts, we have a strong belief that working in collaboration with our partners will create great opportunities to improve the future well-being of our population. This is reflected with our incumbent Chief Finance Officer moving into the Lead Finance role of the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board to continue to drive this collaboration at scale across the Integrated Care System.
We are seeking a forward thinking, innovative and credible Chief Nursing and Chief Finance Officer who will play a key role in setting the framework for the design, delivery and monitoring of excellent patient experience for the Trust. With the Chief Nurse providing professional leadership, in order to create a culture that enables nursing, midwifery and AHP staff to feel supported in their roles and the Chief Finance Officer leading the Finance, IT & Information and Procurement Teams in developing Trust-wide service and financial frameworks within which operational services can be delivered.
We are interested in hearing from experienced nurses either working at director or deputy director level and senior qualified finance professionals who share our values and ambition and who are excited by the opportunity to help shape a vibrant health and care economy.
Wirral really is an enjoyable place to live and to work. I hope you enjoy finding out more about WUTH and its local area of beautiful coastline, recreation and adventure inside this recruitment briefing. Should you wish to talk anything through, please do get in touch.
I look forward to meeting you during the process.
